Its purpose was to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations of Vietnam and Japan and it featured 150 works on the two countries’ cultural features and sister provinces Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Kawasaki.
Visitors to the exhibition can appreciate the similarities of the culture of Vietnam and Japan and other typical traits of each nation. The event is also a chance for Japanese who are working and traveling in Ba Ria-Vung Tau to understand more about Vietnam.
Ngo Hung Lam, vice chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association, said: “To be an overseas Vietnamese in Japan for 36 years, I’m touched to attend this exhibition. I wish to be a link to help deepen the relations of the two countries and to contribute to the economic development of Vietnam in the future,” he added.
