The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee is scheduled to hold its 19th session in Hanoi from July 10-12.
Members of the committee will give opinions on the draft amendments to resolutions relating to receiving and dealing with citizens’ complaints and denunciations.
They will also assess the outcomes of the 13th NA’s fifth session, which took place from May 20 to June 21, and discuss preparations for the NA’s upcoming sixth session.
The members are expected to adopt a project to renew the NA Office and improve the quality and effectiveness of its operation, and a revised resolution on the office’s functions, missions, power and apparatus.
They will debate draft amendments and supplements to the laws on Bidding, Fire Prevention and Control, Thrift Practice and Wastefulness Prevention, and the Ordinance on the Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools.
