Businesses in the Mekong Delta region learnt about France’s market potential at a workshop in the region’s city of Can Tho on July 12.
The French market’s potential, demands and preferential policies help regional businesses devise appropriate marketing strategies and see how to explore the market and others.
In the past years, thanks to a number of programmes and investments from French organisations, Can Tho has successfully carried out social programmes and maintained the teaching of the French language in schools, said Vo Thanh Thong, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho municipal People’s Committee.
For his part, French Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Fabrice Mauries highlighted the Vietnamese and French Governments’ traditional friendship, which has been helped by the close ties and cooperation between Can Tho city and France’s city of Nice in such areas as education, healthcare and tourism.
The workshop was part of a meeting to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic relations.-VNA
