(VOV) – The traditional music Ensemble SINAWI from the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Vietnamese break-dance group S.I.N.E will entertain spectators in Hanoi on June 8.
The evening event, which is organized by the Korean International Exchange Foundation, will feature the traditional Korean folksong “Arirang” and “Rapsody of Donghae,” a modern Korean song performed together with the Vietnamese folksong “Beautiful Bamboo”.
Ensemble SINAWI specializes in playing traditional Korean music mixed with jazz on the piano to create a unique, modern sound.
SINAWI will combine its music with traditional Vietnamese stringed instruments such as the harp and zither, as well as flutes and various types of percussion to bringing the melodies closer to Vietnamese audiences.
The concert aims to introduce Vietnamese people to the diverse RoK culture.
The group will also perform at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Music on June 13.
